Revisited

waking ~ for tess

your pretty baby, she is sleeping, but close your eyes
and look, there she is in the rainbow, waking, in the morning
grass smiling, in the quite of your grief wrapping her tender
arms around your growing heart, reminding you, no matter where or
when, you are not alone, and no matter how distant you might some-
times feel, oh, she is there, holding the beat of your heart in her
name. say it out loud. write it in the sand. etch it in concrete. put
your finger to the snow and make her letters appear, anything to
bring her rainbows into the room. and know that even in your quite,
maybe especially so, she is your stillness of mind, your laughter,
the wind that blows through your hair, whispering, forever and
always, dear one, i am here, i am here, i am here, waking the light
of rainbows, reminding you we waking together, always, pretty baby,
good morning sunshine.
together waking in rainbows,
we are.

I find I have only time to read right now, no new original thoughts from me either - too much distraction.  I wrote this poem out that Silvi wrote for me that I first mentioned back here...

I read it again tonight and the tears just flowed.  It is like a beacon of light in the current limbo that is life right now. This poem is for me and I draw so much for these words, on so many different levels.  I am glad to have stumbled on it right now, it is what I needed and I thank Silvi from the bottom of my broken heart.
